Solemnity of The Most Sacred Heart Of Jesus & feast day of Immaculate heart

Just wanted to do some craft with our little ones for this beautiful feast day of Sacred Heart.

We used some felt fabric  bought from the craft store. First simply hand drew the red heart shapes and bits and pieces for the hearts.

For the sacred Heart of Jesus

A large red heart felt
Orange fire shape
From a different color brown, cut little sticks to make the crowns
Few drops of blood from red felt.

We read about this wonderful feast which falls 19 days after pentecost, been through the story of st. Margaret Mary Alacoque who promoted the devotion to the sacred heart of Jesus in its modern form.

We really liked the coloring page  which Munnu used to paint. Took litany of  sacred Heart and prayed during the time of  craft work. Theresu did enjoy her own messy work with  paint.

                                                      Munnu's work

                                          Annu's felt sacred heart

I wanted to talk through the symbolic meaning of the images and the each  part of image which found to be very devotional.

It was really beautiful to go through the 12 promises of Sacred Heart. In the end  our little altar was decorated with their pictures.

 Such a wonderful feast day.

                                             Immaculate Heart

We couldnt get much time to do on the feast of immaculate heart other than the coloring sheets. However we were able to go for H.mass as  family and had novena of Our lady of perpetual help.
