Feast Of St Gregory the great

St Gregory  (540-604) Pope and the doctor of the church. Made many changes in the liturgy. He sent many monks to Europe to preach the Good News including St Augustine. He introduced the gregorian chants, esp Ora pro nobis...( Pray for us to God). He called himself  "the servant of the servants of God" a title every pope has adopted since then. He is one of the great Latin Doctors of the Church.

                                    Children made some feast cake.
