Divine Mercy Sunday

Last Sunday was Divine Mercy Sunday which Lord asked St Faustina to paint and spread devotion, thinking of Lord's mercy for us. Children had some time listening to story, then they were helped  to reflect on mercy as the theme of this month's household go along with the feast. They made a mini booklet on 7 corporal works of mercy. In the end, cut a red velvet cake with a divine mercy image on. In our church there was mercy chaplet at 3pm with reconciliation service. So it was a blessed day altogether.

Tobit;The secret of a king

Triduum and Easter

It was such a great triduum and had a lovely Easter with some other Home educating families, prospectives and others. We had some home made hot cross buns in the morning since it is a day of fasting.

From Maundy Thursday

All of us gathered in St Mt Bernard Abbey in Leicester for stations of cross. Brilliant time of reflection. There we spent time with children making stations of cross and climbed the stations.

On Holy saturday kids had time making Easter Bonnets by Mahima using paper mache and decorated with bunnies, butterflies, ribbons. In the mean time, food was prepared for lunch. Children were outdoors with their dads and some of us decorated jy house with banners , flowers and so on. Vigil mass was brilliant with songs and prayers. Once reached home, we had some hoppers and meat. Easter day was so bright and sunny . .

Daddies are having their own time

Anie helped children preparing Paschal candles and explained uts significance. After that there was a birthday party of Cecilia and Annakutty

Some of us were involved in preparing roast lamb , beef and so on. We finished our gathering by meal. It was a wonderful time with all families and had lots of fun making crafts, prayer and chit chatting.

                                               Happy Eastertide to all.
