Advent 2018

Advent  began this year on 2nd of December. One of the exciting feasts for children was the feast of St Nicholas, asked everyone to leave their shoes,Theresu was so
excited in the morning to see what'up in the
shoes .

The story of St Nicholas was read and how merciful he was in sharing to the needy.

The first sunday of advent ,lit the first purple candle of peace .
Evergreen encircling represent the life .

Below is the leurkaart buns/sweet buns which was made on the feast of St Lucy on which swedish people celebrate in a very extraordinary
way and the eldest girl gets up and put on white dress with red sash and wear a crown with lights, along with star boy she serve breakfast. St Lucy was a Roman citizen and a christian, stood courageously for
faith.Lucy means light.

Theresu and Geo is making Christmas ornaments. Salt dough was
prepared,flattened and cut different shapes of hearts, christmas trees, house with cutters.Then was put in oven for 1-2 hours. Finally the ornaments were painted, glittered and hung on the tree.

Theresu is getting ready for the nativity play and carol singing of St Mary's choir. This was a brilliant time for everyone to sing to Nursing Home residents and lTheresu is Mary for the play.

Two days before Christmas, I prepared homemade fruit cake and distributed to a few friends and families.

Our Christmas dinner was with Thomas family and spent meal with them having roast, lit advent candle, Christingle, punch, minced pies which we made from Mcr. We had a lovely time though Joby was away for his grandmother's funeral.
