lenten highlights

Last week, we went to Pantasaph as part of JY to do lenten stations of cross. Great day out.

On Spy Wednesday.  Counting 30 coins placed in and out.

We had a great opportunity to be washed on Maundy Thursday. Prepared some passover meal which is quite traditional, always looking forward to it even my children

From home

  Good friday:: We went to worcestire for Easter. There happening the passion play, unforunately we couldnt  join but joined for Veneration. 

Nature walk

It was spring equinox yesterday. Our Home educating group went to Longford Park for nature walk. We were joining for the nature trip after a gap. It was fabulous revived my drooping spirit.

        Enjoying showers

Children into groups finding signs of early spring. Many groups came back with buds, flowers, sprigs....so on. They shared their experiences and later on made bird feeder with cereal box, thread and scissors. It was chucking down but enjoyed the beautiful time in nature along with other homeedders.

  Great day out in spring with various nature sounds and scents of flowers.

St Joseph's Feast day

On the feast of StJoseph  , time to honour him. He is patron of So many things-  I have a special devotion to St Joseph . 

 Some of tte trafitions of the day : Devorating three tier Altar reminding Joseph,  Mary and Jesus.

 There was a big famine in Sicíliy and  got cleared through the intercession of St Joseph.. As a Thanksgiving, the feast day is celebrated with St Joseph altar and lots of foods 

With plenty of foods.

Mothering Sunday

Today is

Chess days- Regional

2024 regional champ held in Wirral. Manchestr came to second position. Lovely to see all under 9 contestants. This happened in one of the primary schools in Wirral.  Started journey by 9.30 pm and back home by 5 pm after all the rewards. Geo won 3/3.

It was a great day seing many other young lads competing mostly.Geo looks contented.

19th Birthday

Feels like 19 years just gone by so fast. Annus 19th birthday and the time with our newborn going back..  Everything new  then as a parent and so many blessings through her over these years  and thanking  Lord..

  Birthday mornings in our house. Lots of snacks for annu along with  home made cards and gifts.

Mich n Theresu making cake for her sister instead of usual, Annu making cake for them on their birthdays.  This is bit of change.
