Fresco

As part of Artistic study, Children were learning about Renaissance artists. Fresco was the type of painting which Michaelangelo used. The learning outcome on fresco painting  for children is that they should come to know fresco and able to recreate a piece of art in the style of fresco.

These type of painting reached its peak during italian renaissance period of 15th  to 16 Century.  Michaelangelo used fresco for creating various pictures like Creation of Adam ,Last judgement etc..

Some resources are found here ;instructions, making fresco, teaching vision, making art fun

First, plaster of paris was mixed in recommended ratio and then applied on a wooden piece and let it  to dry. Then children did colouring of their own on the little bit wet plaster.

It;s nearly the time fort the baby to come out. Thank you Lord for looking after us all these time.

Kayaking

There is a great opportunity for children for Kayaking during every summer in our Chorlton water park. The water park has got a plenty of kayaks available to padddle and two trainers for children. It is back again in place for this  summer on every Wednesday. Children just simply adore being outside and enjoy in  kayaks, they could be brave and confident, putting their life jackets and wave their paddles.  After a quick introduction to safety and instruction, children were ready to hit the water for an entire hour.

As you see Annu and Munnu were able to paddle their own kayak and had a blast, eventhough Theresu couldn't be part of it. She spent some time in muddy puddle and in the park playing with me some shops.
