Remembrance Day
Remembrance Day is a solemn time to honour those who gave their lives to protect the freedom. The day falls again today and it was remembrance sunday on 9th November where parades, wreath are placed in war memorials. It is not only for those who died on our soil but for everyone who served from the trenches to the beaches of Normandy.
Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae noticed bright red poppies growing across the battlefields of Flanders.that evening he wrote the famous poem “In Flanders Fields”, which beginslike this,
“In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row…”
The poppy we wear is not a symbol of war or violence but of remembrance and respect.
There is a two minute silence observed at 11 a.m. on the 11th of November.Traffic will stop and conversations will pause. People from all walks of life will stand together in silence, remembering those who served and sacrificed for us.
Some of our little art works with kids.
Have a look in the past memories
Also this is the month of Holy souls. We can pray for the souls especially St Gertrude prayer purging souls in purgatory. I like to read more about St Gertrude this month which I hope I might be able able to do sometime. Have a blessed day.

September birthdays
It was such a great feeling I realised now, when children coming home,to wish to be with parents. I felt in tears thinking of my past years away from home and our parents. Both Annu and Munnu starting uni these days. Mich already started living in his halls. As usual, morning breakfast was served at bed with loving cards, full of affection and small gifts. I am so grateful to Lord all these years goneby... More than anything, their presence was amazing. Thank you Lord.
We dined together, bought from Miami chicken, went for the holy mass. Watched a movie together and towards eve, we went to see a newborn. That was a great day.
Another wondorous thing happened on that day was that one of my friends appreciated me openly in a group, for a treatment her child had from me. She is lot better and that story was posted. I felt so great, honoured and appreciated by so many. Trul I believe that was an appreciation from above for what I am called to do so. Also from my sister too..words touched me powerfully...

I even treated myself on my birthday just going to salon..My daughters got impressed with that...

Nativity of Our Lady Feast
On September 8th we celebrated the Nativity of Our Lady.
Always it is a beautiful and colourful day to celebrate. Blue is given as her colour radiating the blue sky.
Some of our day celebrations include saying a decade of rosary, reading Magnificat in our prayer time. Also I wpold love to make a sweet treat, cake/ cup cakes, jellies on this birthday of Our Lady and enjoy the day. Then towards the evening, we had our friends coming in, had meal together and she is expecting baby soon.
In Peak District- Middle Black clough
Here’s a fantastic waterfall walk you can do in the Peak District. Middle Black Clough waterfall is a short but challenging walk – if you enjoy an adventure then this is the walk for you. Need to be prepared for this walk as there’s a water crossing, so bring your wellies, and there’s also a small amount of scrambling.
Water level was ok, we enjoyed every bit and the scenic nature will captivate the senses..never knew such a gem is hiding around.

First Solemn Mass- Canon Joseph McCowens
I think the day was awesome. Seeing some of the children from among who played, studied and grew up as an amazing priest. So celebrating the first solemn mass of Canon Joseph McCowen with the whole congregration of Institute of Christ the King , Preston was stunning and graceful moments for our family and around. I thank God for this wonderful Mcowens family, second child also became a priest, holy hands that carry Our Lord.
We still remember the very first time met the family and such a beautiful family. holy, very simple and humble. They were very instrumental in our early stages of home education. Times we met in our house, their house, parks, woodlands, swimmings, chit chats, home ed groups together celebrating feasts and fun time. Always inspiring and challenging their life style. Can't thank enough for them in our lives.. May God bless in their new journeys.
After the great sung mass, there was a boufet, met many friends and our one of the favourite family we can never forget.
Baby shower and bday
We have a beautiful family accompanies us and the children are our dearest. So we thought to have Cuckoos fourth birthday and mommy Nims also had a baby shower. Had a great day with a few other friends too.

Celebrate 2025
It was a wonderful 5 days festival in Worth Abbey by Celebrate. Jesus youth was in charge of Shine group for year 7 and 8. There were so many groups roaming around and taking care of different ages like Ascent, Mark 10, Joel's bar...The days begin with lovely praise session, leaders prep, breaks, break out rooms, evenig groups, sports time and so on. So great to meet so many wonderful people around the country. Those days were so demanding, although days are more loose too. Children thoroughly enjoyed. Me and my husband and young two kids joined with us. Along with us, joined 6 youth volunteers. It was a blessed time and golden opportunity to work with 20 angels. Worth Abbey is so beautiful and the landscapes were so gorgeous. So many other stations were there to enjoy and get to know other different ministeries working including bereaval support, marriage encounters and so on.
