This time we were looking forward to do on South America and children have prepared different countries . Different countries were chosen from 12 countries and two territories. Children did a fantastic work , Annu prepared a scrapbook with brilliant ideas. Munnu made a diaroma of different layers of Rain forests. Theresu liked to do chile.

It was great to know about our dearest St Martin and St Rose.
Since South American countries are rich in cocoa industry, I managed to obtain some chocolates, coffee powder and Brazil nuts from Lidl.
Below is the South American art called mola, created by Annu .
Some of the QR codes were created using qr generator , scavenger hunt was done using qr code and it was a great idea adopted from one of the digital story telling workshop which I attended recently.
Everyone enjoyed doing the continent study and decorated the lounge well with lots of SA posters. It was a big learning for me too .

Digital Braves
Young people are growing up tracked . The digital technology teaching through role play and webmaking , the children to explore the new pressures and implication of digital surveillance using different methods. This two hour session was held in MMU for children and adults.
Since the digital technology is growing and this tracking is inherently linked to our identities as consumers and the uncomfortable choices we make in our daily lives. How the creatives and the opposing consumers perform in the current world. The role of the networking systems available and bring awareness that many times before children reach the age of consent , they already have a complex online footprint.
The goal of the session was to raise an awareness to provide a safe but exciting space to explore these issues and to play with tech in a way that empower us. There was group interactions and drama, using Mozilla's thimble, a tool to explore learning by remixing html pages in the browser. This serves as a secondary goal to demystify coding and digital production.
Towards the end, children were given chance to remix html pages and made their own advert.
