Spain

Last month June till July, Art of Connection  were exploring  Spain. Some of the famous paintings were looked at. In between introducing Spain was the flamenco dance for a nice change . Spanish words got introduced too...Vola, Senorita, adieu..

Pablo Picasso - Mya, Salvador Dali - Annabel, Miquel De Cervantes - Lily, Penelope Cruz - Lissy, Rafa Nadal - Elijah, Francisco Franco - Samuel, Antonio Banderas - Therese, Sergio Ramos - Kymarni, Pau Gasol - Malachi, Pep Guardiola - Joey, El Cid - Eli, Raul Gonzalez Blanco - George, Fernando Alonso - Ziah, Sarah Baras - Sofia...Geo got the famous footballer to research on. His name is Raul Blanco.

Fourth week , a real spanish guest who is Jordy( husband of Natalie) joined with us. Narrating his own life story with the geography and traditions of Spain were beautiful and humorous.

Identifying different places in Spain and the islands around.

There was a poetry day for kids to write and bring poems on Spain. Theresu made some funny poem and Geo with my help made shape poem

Churros during the break time prepared by Natalie with sugar  and chocolate dip...yum yum. Some other deserts, Spanish almond cake, flan, gazpacho and a few other dishes explored myself.

      It is such a beautiful land with vast religion of Catholics, warm country and land of St Therese of Avilla and St John of the cross..which intensified my desire to visit the country. Also stirred within me a passion to do a Compostilla pilgrimage in future remembering St James apostle. ..dunno when.

The final week on Spain was mainly quizlets and food culture.
