Visit to Blessed Dominic Barberi's tomb

A thought pop into our head to visit Blessed Dominic Barberi's tomb. This place is in St Helen's, Manchester. Moreover it is Geo's birthday too. Chris colaco and Thomas family was at home. 

Such a beautiful place with full of stories, testimonies , paintings. Dominic Barberi was born on June 22nd 1792. Dominic lost his parents and was adopted by his uncle.  It was Capuchian friars who helped his formal schooling. The initial calling to be a priest and bring light of gospel to foreign nation bloomed in him.

   His desire fulfilled when he made a brief visit to England. As soon as possible Dominic began preaching parish mission in England. 

    It was later Newman heard that Father Dominic would be stopping at Littlemore, he felt that this was external sign he was looking for. He asked Father Dominic to receive into the church. Along with Newman other four received and the great conversion re echoed throughout world.. Masses of thanks giving and Te Deums were sung in churches of Rome, France, Germany , Belgium. It was beginning of second spring.

   Beautiful and blessed time before the tomb of Blessed Barberi.

   Homeschoolers had a chance to perform the play on Blessed Dominic Barberi last year.

It was a blessed time on Our Geo's birthday. Blessed Dominic Barberi pray for us.

Happy Father's day

We had two fathers at home on this day. Both father's had a rosee flower grown in our garde  and wished. Both deserves. Towards the end of the day, cake was cut and made it a a special day. Thought to call dads and wished them s good health and cheerful days ahead. Thank God for their lovely presence in our lives. ABBA father we thank you for walking with us.

Birthday of our Snooker boy- 6

Our birthday boy turned 6. He is very fond of sports- football, snooker ...So thought of adding little theme of snooker to his birthday this year. Thank God for the gift of Geo in our lives.

He is so happy with his very special friend Johny. Though not many other friends couldn't be invited indoor due to restrictions still going on.Thomas family was with us as always.

Birthday table is ready with little dainties- party items, jellies, cupcakes, bread sticks, popcorns ....

Flooded with gifts, cards and wishes in the morning for the birthday boy. Excited to see what's inside

Playing with his toy car after attending H mass and Fr Peter played Happy Birthday song in the church for him.

With his best allies and was looking forward for many days.

Table is ready. all set. I was hoping to set it out but rain started drizzling.

Busiest spot of birthday was around chocolate fondant with berries to dip. Strawberries, cherries and popcorns were a good combi with chocolate.  Everyone buzzed around it other than birthday boy who is still having aversion to many of the fruits.

Vidh and Vibh along with Annu preparing cake, coating, making fondants of pool and snooker balls.

Pizza was for lunch and we now enjoy making homemade pizzas. Didn't come out so superb...but healthy and tasty still.

In the eve, all out for a mini stroll to playfields for tennis and football

Last and the most awaited item was pinata . That was left for next day as towards the end everyone got bit tired and into watching movie.

It was such a blessed day.

I still count all His blessings upon us. Thank you Lord for your endless mercies especially for the children in our lives.

On the Feast of Sacred Heart

On this month of June of Sacred Heart, we were out in our woods and sketched some nature art, along with a scavenger hunt with children. It was very relaxing and enjoyed the time, watching the birds and  gentle summer breeze around. 

Sitting in a little peer around the water park and Annu also with us after a long period of exam.

    Sacred heart painting done and back home. This year feast falls on 11th June. After H mass, story of St Margaret Alencoque was read, then had a little consecration prayer to SH.

Baptism of our God child.

Memories always stir your hearts. Another memory God added into our life. He gave us a golden opportunity to be God parents. Our God child is Hannah Rose. Definitely Lord still value us with our unworthiness and weakness. He is always faithful .

  It was a brilliant day with Amal, Riya and the Holy mass was celebrated in St Joseph. Little Hannah was all set to receive Baptism on her white dress and candle. She turned one today.
